Privacy Policy

Overview

Daily Oath is a private, on-device sobriety companion. The app is designed so your recovery details stay on your device. We do not require an account, do not sell personal information, and do not use your recovery activity for advertising.

Information the App Stores

Daily Oath stores the information you enter or create while using the app, including your selected oath or vice label, daily check-ins, sobriety dates and streak progress, reset history, optional relapse triggers or notes, urge-mode session outcomes, milestone progress, and reminder preferences.

This information is stored locally on your device using the operating system's app storage. Daily Oath does not currently create cloud accounts, sync your recovery data to our servers, or give us access to the contents of your oath, notes, check-ins, or relapse history.

How Information Is Used

Locally stored app information is used only to provide the app's core features: showing your current sober day count, protecting against duplicate check-ins, preserving your run history, displaying rank milestones, supporting urge-mode sessions, and showing reminder or widget content when you enable those features.

Reminders, Widgets, and Sharing

If you enable reminders or home-screen widgets, your device may display Daily Oath content outside the app. Those features are controlled by your device settings and can be turned off there or inside the app when available.

If you choose to share a milestone image or text from Daily Oath, the information is sent only to the destination you select through your device's share sheet. Please review the privacy practices of any app or service you share with.

Website and Email

This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or contact forms. If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message so we can respond.

Like most websites, the hosting provider for this static site may process basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps for security, diagnostics, and delivery of the site. We do not use that information to build recovery profiles.

Third Parties

Daily Oath does not sell or rent your personal information. We do not currently include third-party advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs in the app.

App stores, operating systems, email providers, and any services you choose to share content with may process information under their own privacy policies.

Retention and Deletion

Recovery data remains on your device until you delete it through app controls, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Because Daily Oath does not currently maintain user accounts or cloud copies of your recovery data, we generally cannot recover it or delete it remotely.

If you have contacted us by email, you may ask us to delete that correspondence unless we need to keep it for security, legal, or operational reasons.

Health and Emergency Use

Daily Oath is a sobriety support and reflection tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment, and is not a substitute for professional care. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, contact local emergency services or a trusted crisis resource.

Children

Daily Oath is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has contacted us or provided personal information, please email us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Your Choices

You can choose what to enter in the app, use device settings to manage notifications and widgets, delete local app data, uninstall the app, and contact us with privacy questions or email deletion requests.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy if Daily Oath adds new features, changes how data is handled, or needs to reflect legal or operational updates. The effective date above will be updated when the policy changes.
